Focusing on Sustainability

Updated July 1, 2023

At Richfield Fertiliser LLC, we are united by a clear purpose and values. Above everything we care; about people, our relationships and the world, and how we can change people’s lives for the better. I am proud to be part of a team that works together to uphold our ethical standards of behavior, where importance is placed on not just what we do, but how we go about doing it. Our Code of Business is founded on our values, and defines how to act when working for or on behalf of Richfield Fertiliser LLC. It will help us build trusting relationships with governments, suppliers, business partners, customers and our team.

“Work together to make a difference.” Aleksandr Taflevich, CEO & Founder.”

Safe operations depend on technically sound plant and equipment; and work that is well designed, planned, executed, supervised and improved by trained and competent people. Every person within our company must take responsibility for preventing workplace- related injuries and illnesses. We will only be successful when every employee and contractor goes home safe and well every day and lives a life free from illness caused by workplace exposures.

Richfield Fertiliser LLC is committed to achieving leading industry practice in health and safety. In all cases, we aim to meet or exceed applicable legal and other requirements as we believe all accidents and occupational illnesses and injuries are preventable. Company-wide health and safety targets are set and performance against these targets is closely monitored, measured and reported on.

We believe that our contribution to development and community programs can further contribute to the realization of human rights. We acknowledge our activities have the potential to impact on human rights and address this through our core business practices. This includes labour conditions, activities of security forces, resettlement and local community programs. We engage with communities and seek to understand the social, cultural, environmental and economic implications of our activities so that we can respond to concerns, reduce negative impacts and optimize benefits for the local community and the overall economy.

“Supports human rights consistent with the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”

We do not contribute funds to any political party, politician, elected official or candidate for public office in any country. It is acceptable for Ecoguard Energy Group to express our views to governments on subjects that affect the Company’s interests and operations. This must be done in a way that demonstrates high standards of ethics and complies with the law. Activities that require registration and approval in advance include:

• Paying for tables at functions or events sponsored by or associated with any political party, politician or political candidate. For example, a political party business observer program.
• Sponsoring research by ‘think tanks’ affiliated or linked to political parties.
• Being involved with any event organised by or on behalf of a political party for which a fee is paid.

“Will only participate in political activities in an ethical and legal way.”

Corruption misallocates resources, reinforces poverty, undermines the integrity of government and community decision-making and wastes opportunities that arise from resource development. Corruption is also a criminal offense under laws that apply to Richfield Fertiliser LLC globally. These laws also prohibit bribery of individuals in a position of trust, such as employees or officers of our suppliers and customers or some community leaders.

Compliance with anti- corruption laws is essential to protect Richfield Fertiliser LLC reputation and to preserve our company.

In keeping with local and international anti-corruption laws, we prohibit authorizing, offering, giving or promising anything of value directly or indirectly (via a third party) to a government official to influence official action, or to anyone to encourage them to perform their work disloyally or otherwise improperly.

A breach of our anti-corruption requirements is also a serious offense, which can result in disciplinary action, including dismissal.

Our approach to environmental management is based on the identification, assessment and control of risks across all phases on our process.

We demonstrate environmental responsibility by minimizing environmental impacts and contributing to long-term benefits to biodiversity, ecosystems and other environmental resources.

We aim to avoid or minimize and rehabilitate our environmental impacts. Where impacts remain, we implement compensatory actions to address impacts to biodiversity and ecosystems. In addition to our direct environmental management actions we pursue opportunities in conservation, to deliver lasting environmental benefits.

We accept the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change conclusions that warming of the climate system is unequivocal, the human influence is clear and physical impacts are now unavoidable.

We take a global ecosystems perspective of our impact and seek to mitigate climate change through activities directly and indirectly related to our activities.
